After having a visit of some 5+ spams (I’m known by the spam bots! Is that good?) I just installed a captcha-like plugin. It requires some basic arithmetic skills from y’all; but on the other hand, I -am- a math blog after all.
Michi is a recent PhD working in homological algebra and applied algebraic topology. This blog is his outlet for texts with some manner of thought put into them. Over at his LiveJournal intimate details and streams of consciousness might be found.
Not all here is mathematics. All here, though, are my personal thoughts and opinions. Please read the about page (linked above) for more details.

Hello, I wanted to comment to check out what maths problem I had to solve!
Just a thought: Doesn’t Google do simple maths? Maybe the spambots will evolve to start sending the sums to Google and return here with the answer?
Then again, I know nothing about how such things work…
Once they do, I’ll change Captcha. Or require accounts. Or something.
